Spend vacations trying out different opportunities – work in an office, volunteering at a charity and helping others, if you know your stuff, volunteer at an organization’s IT helpdesk – get a feel for different careers out there.
Make an appointment with a career guidance counsellor. Read books and visit you library or do some research on the internet.
Find out what careers are in demand – where there is a shortage of skills.
